Building Careers Through Real Connections

We started Qoxen Tylux because we kept seeing talented people struggle with the same thing—not skills or qualifications, but access. Access to the right conversations, the right introductions, the people who could actually help them move forward in the event industry.

Why We Exist in the First Place

Back in 2023, three of us were working different sides of the event world—production, corporate events, and festival management. We'd all hit those moments where a single conversation changed everything. A chat at a trade show that led to a career shift. Someone vouching for you when you weren't in the room.

But here's what bothered us: those moments were completely random. You either got lucky or you didn't. We thought about all the skilled people who never got those chances simply because they weren't in the right place at the right time.

So we built something different. Not a job board or a LinkedIn clone, but a proper space where people working in events can actually meet the folks who matter to their next step. No algorithms deciding who you should talk to—just real introductions based on where you're trying to go.

What Guides Our Work

These aren't aspirational statements we came up with in a workshop. They're the principles that actually shape how we operate day to day.

Quality Over Volume

We'd rather connect you with five people who can genuinely help than fifty random contacts. Each introduction we facilitate goes through actual human review to make sure it makes sense for both parties.

Honest About Reality

Networking won't magically solve everything. We're upfront about what it can and can't do for your career. Sometimes the best advice we give is that you need more experience before certain doors will open.

Protecting Your Privacy

Your career plans and networking activity stay private. We don't sell your data, spam you with promotions, or broadcast your job search to your current employer. Basic stuff that should be standard.

No Gatekeeping

You don't need an Oxbridge degree or years at a top agency to get value from our platform. If you're serious about building a career in events and willing to show up properly, we'll help you connect with people who can guide you.

Who's Actually Running This

Small team, combined decades of experience in different corners of the event industry. We've all been on both sides—looking for the next opportunity and being the person others come to for advice.

How We Work

Our Approach to Career Connections

We're not trying to automate human relationships. The goal is to remove the friction that stops good connections from happening—like not knowing who to reach out to, or feeling awkward about asking for introductions.

Our platform helps you identify who you should actually be talking to based on your specific career goals. Then we facilitate proper introductions through our network of industry contacts. After that, it's on you to build the relationship.

  • We review every profile manually to verify people are who they say they are
  • Each connection request gets human review before we facilitate an introduction
  • We provide guidance on how to approach conversations effectively
  • Our team follows up to make sure introductions actually lead somewhere useful
